Tarx is local-first. By default, all conversations and data are stored locally on your device. We do not collect or transmit your data unless you explicitly opt-in to cloud features.
If you enable cloud features like Voice or cross-device sync, minimal data is transmitted securely. You can disable these features at any time.
We implement industry-standard security measures. All cloud communications are encrypted in transit and at rest.
You have the right to access, export, and delete your data at any time. Local data can be managed directly through the app.
Phone Number Collection: When you enable TARX Talk & Text features, we collect your phone number to provide SMS and voice services.
Message Content: We process the content of your SMS messages and voice calls to provide AI-powered responses. This data is:
Twilio Integration: SMS and voice services are powered by Twilio. Twilio may collect metadata (timestamps, phone numbers) as part of their service. See Twilio's Privacy Policy for details.
Data Retention: Message history is retained to maintain conversation context. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting hello@tarx.com.
Opt-Out Impact: If you opt out of SMS services, your message history will be retained for 30 days then permanently deleted.
