1. Information We Collect

Tarx is local-first. By default, all conversations and data are stored locally on your device. We do not collect or transmit your data unless you explicitly opt-in to cloud features.

2. Cloud Features (Opt-in)

If you enable cloud features like Voice or cross-device sync, minimal data is transmitted securely. You can disable these features at any time.

3. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures. All cloud communications are encrypted in transit and at rest.

4. Your Rights

You have the right to access, export, and delete your data at any time. Local data can be managed directly through the app.

5. SMS & Voice Data

Phone Number Collection: When you enable TARX Talk & Text features, we collect your phone number to provide SMS and voice services.

Message Content: We process the content of your SMS messages and voice calls to provide AI-powered responses. This data is:

  • Encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Stored securely in our Supabase database
  • Used only to provide and improve our services
  • Never sold to third parties

Twilio Integration: SMS and voice services are powered by Twilio. Twilio may collect metadata (timestamps, phone numbers) as part of their service. See Twilio's Privacy Policy for details.

Data Retention: Message history is retained to maintain conversation context. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting hello@tarx.com.

Opt-Out Impact: If you opt out of SMS services, your message history will be retained for 30 days then permanently deleted.
